# Reddit

> Set up and use the Reddit integration with Hyper AI

## Connect Reddit

1. Go to Settings → Apps in Hyper
2. Select Reddit → Connect New
3. Complete OAuth and grant requested scopes

## Common capabilities

* Monitor subreddits and track discussions
* Automate posting and community engagement
* Analyze trends and sentiment

## Use in Chat

Enable Reddit in the tool selector. Ask your agent to monitor subreddits, draft posts, or summarize discussions.

## Use in Agents

Add Reddit to an agent's toolkits and select the connection. Require approval for posting actions.

## Use in Flows

Automate subreddit monitoring, posting schedules, and engagement workflows using Reddit action nodes.

## Troubleshooting

* Post not publishing: verify OAuth scopes and subreddit rules
* Rate limits: Reddit enforces strict rate limits; add delays between actions

## Available Actions

Hyper agents can run the following actions for this integration. Each action can be individually set to **Enabled**, **Requires Approval**, or **Disabled** in your agent's toolkit settings.

Actions can be set to one of three control states:

| State                 | Behavior                                                       |
| --------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Enabled**           | Agent runs the action automatically                            |
| **Requires Approval** | Agent pauses and waits for your confirmation before proceeding |
| **Disabled**          | Action is blocked and cannot be used                           |

Configure these in the agent's toolkit settings or in workspace defaults.

| Action          | Description                                                                                                                                 |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Delete Item     | Delete a Reddit post or comment that you created. Requires the item's fullname ID (e.g., 't3\_abc123' for posts, 't1\_def456' for comments) |
| Edit Text       | Edit the text content of a Reddit comment or self-post that you created. Only works for text posts and comments, not link or image posts    |
| List Comments   | List comments for a specific Reddit post. Returns comment details including text, author, score, and timestamps                             |
| List Subreddits | Search and list subreddits by query. Returns subreddit information including name, title, description, subscriber count, and more           |
| Search Posts    | Search for posts within a specific subreddit by query. Returns post details including title, author, score, and comments count              |
| Submit Comment  | Submit a comment or reply to a Reddit post or comment. Requires the parent thing's fullname ID                                              |
| Submit Post     | Submit a new post to a subreddit. Supports text posts (self), link posts, and image posts                                                   |
